The use of peat as fuel has been taken into consideration when choising the material of the scrubber. A fiber glass stack is installed upon the scrubber. Condensate produced in the scrubber are cooled down, clarified, filtered and neutralized in order to follow the environmental regulation. The unit has been delivered in 2013 for an existing fluidized bed boiler of 32 MW from Foster Wheeler.

Wood is used as a fuel, allowing the use of stainless steel for the scrubber. Fumes containing a high rate of dust at the inlet of the scrubber (400 mg/m3), a clarification happens in the scrubber. Condensate is neutralized and filtered.

Using combustion air humidification, flue gas can be cooled down till a temperature below 30 °C, allowing a heat recovery of 2,9 MW for the district heating of Varissuo, part of the district of Turku. The scrubber provides additionally 152 kW of heat. Condensates are neutralized and filtered using a pressure filter and sludge are removed into a sludge tank. Scrubber has been delivered for a fluidized bed boiler of 6 MW from Renewa. Fuel is a mix of wood pellets and peat, so the material used for the scrubber is Fiber glass.

Scrubber allowing a heat recovery of 1,25 MW for the district heating of Kiteen Lämpö Oy. Scrubber has been delivered in 2010 with a biomass boiler of 5 MW from Laatukattila Oy. Boiler uses wood and peat. Because flue gas contains a high rate of dust, 165 mg/m3, the scrubber includes a clarifier. Condensate are cooled down, neutralized and filtered using a pressure filter.
